Great question! Why trust me to give you notes on how you can strengthen your book's writing, story, characters, and overall flow? Or anything else you’d like notes on.
To start, I'm a writer myself—having written two novels and many, many scripts. Currently, I write for the hit podcast HEART STARTS POUNDING while also freelance copy editing novels on platforms such as Upwork.
Both in my professional life working in the entertainment industry and personal life, I’ve spent countless hours reading books and giving feedback. While working for production companies, I would read novels and give my thoughts. When we would get drafts of scripts, I would give my notes and then proofread the final drafts. I also run a book instagram account where I read and review novels (making my way through an upwards of 150 books a year).
My decade-long career in the entertainment industry included working in the writers' rooms for STRANGER THINGS (Netflix) and THE SUMMER I TURNED PRETTY (Amazon TV). All of this to say, I have a deep and innate understanding of how to craft a cohesive story with well-developed character arcs and great writing.
